Adventures Await Shaker Card

Hey There Adventurers!

So, I may be late to the party, but I am obsessed with making shaker projects lately. It actually all started with this cute adventurer shaker card. (Disclosure: Some of my blog posts are scheduled in advance from when my projects were created.)

It went like this - you make one shaker, you get hooked! Kinda like you buy one stamp set and a day later you buy 100,000 more. (Something like that...) I feel like someone should have warned me or something...

The arrowhead shaker was created from a Silhouette Studio file using the actual file and also using the inner offset function. The cute stamped bear and fox are from Sweet Stamp Shop. I kind of already had a similar color palette in mind (in my head it was a few shades darker) at first for this card, but once I found these sequins in my craft stash I changed my color scheme to match them.

Since Adventures Await, you will need to Be Brave. So for the inside of the card I decided on the sentiment "Be Brave" and used a mixed alphabet stamp set to create it.

Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions, please leave me a comment or send me an email.

Have a great day!
- Kim

My Planner Monday - Week of April 18th - 24th

Happy Monday!

Or not, if you aren't a fan. I was never a big fan of Mondays since it signified the end of the weekend (which I obviously love). Now, having a fresh design for my planner does make my Monday happier, so I hope it does for the rest of you planner lovers out there too!

Here's my planner for this week before I filled it in.

For my color scheme inspiration this week, I used the same colors that I had used on a card that I created. The card features the same cute bear and fox from the Adventure Awaits stamp set, which you will see right here on my blog on Wednesday!

Have a great day!

It's Zombie Time!

So, you know how you feel when you create something that came out exactly the way you had thought it up in your head? That's how I feel right now. I'm so excited about this Zombie card I created. I love the way it came out even though it's a very simple card. Even the two-tone inked lettering came out just as I had dreamed it in my head. I definitely want to try this ink technique again on the same textured cardstock, maybe using three colors.

The easy how-to:
Using my Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette Studio, I created diecuts for the Zombie stamps and cut them out. Then I inked up my Zombie stamps, stamped them onto the diecuts and colored them in with Spectrum Noir markers. The quote, "It's Zombie Time" was created with a Lettering Delights font in Silhouette Studio and cut out with the Silhouette Cameo. I then inked the whole letter with VersaMagic's Key Lime ink. Once that was dry, I inked the bottom part of the letters with VersaMagic ink in Tea Leaves. The quote was adhered to the middle of the card with Scotch Quick Dry Glue and the Zombies were adhered on with Pop Dots. That's it!

If you have any questions please leave them below! Hope you all have a great Monday!

-New Cameo Control Panel Design-

Hi there!

Anyone out there have the older version of the Silhouette Cameo?

::Raises hand:: I do!

I love the old version of the Silhouette Cameo because I *LOVE* changing and decorating the control panel. Different seasons = new control panel. New scrapbook paper = different control panel. New stamp set = different control panel. I think you get the idea...

So, I recently got the new and oh so cool "Zombies" stamp set by Sweet Stamp Shop. Yep! You guessed it. My Cameo control panel has been Zombiefied!!!

The how-to is super easy. All I did was cut out the control panel in Silhouette Studio using stamping paper. Then I positioned the zombie and quote stamps the way I wanted them, stamped my little heart out and colored everything in using Spectrum Noir markers. Supply list of items I used are below. Got a question? Ask away in the comments section!

Happy Thursday!
